Lily had many of her preschool pals at Fuzzy Caterpillar
cheering along with her for Oklahoma City (yes, the former Seattle
SuperSonics - heart still broken!) on Thursday night and the Thunder
obliged because now both her parents can be on hand and not working for
Pre-K graduation next Friday night.
Zoo field trip and a note from Emma's teacher, Ms. Lucy: (I had good intentions of getting to the zoo but it was a work day after all with Stephen Curry named NBA MVP).
Hi Janie,
At the end of every day students can raise their hand and honor people. Today Emma raised her hand and said "I would like to honor Mommy for trying her best to make it to the zoo." It was very sweet. I told her that she should tell you that but just in case she doesn't I wanted to make sure you heard. I hope you had a great day! I'm sure Emma will tell you all about ours. Look for pictures in the newsletter tomorrow!
Best, Lucy

Frozen yogurt date with mom after school. Thanks to Jan and John Saunders for the fun new T-shirts.

Cheers for working moms and how hard we try to do it all. And cheers for our kids for understanding when we can't be there. I have been away for three weeks and last week opened my email to find two pictures of Evan at his zoo field trip. Another parent had asked his teacher to forward them along with a note telling me how sweet Evan always is toward her daughter, who has special needs. Our great kids make your heart melt, don't they?
