Pizza night

I went out to dinner with Mom and her two great friends Rachel and Nicole on Wednesday night. I had a great time but was very hungry myself by the time we got home. Tonight I am going out again, with Katie and Rocco and Kim and Mike! YAY!

Go Gaels!

I saw two Saint Mary's men's basketball wins this week and the players think I might even be a good-luck charm (even though I slept through much of the second half Saturday). :-) Dad covered my ears from the noise. My striped tights from Mary, Ellie and Hadley received lots of compliments. ... The big guy is my Dad's favorite player, Omar Samhan. He was nervous to hold me.

Spring training!

As pitchers and catchers report for spring training today in Arizona and Florida (Mom is usually in Scottsdale now for work), I debuted my pink baseball blankie given to me by the manager and general manager of the San Francisco Giants (and their sweet wives!). Daddy quickly reminded me that not all 2-week-olds get gifts sent from major league baseball teams. ... Mary, Ellie and Hadley -- mom had good intentions of taking a picture of me in my cute, colorful striped tights this morning but I had an explosion right after she put them on me and had to change before the camera came out. Next time I'll send one (when they're clean and I'm clean!). HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to all my friends and loved ones! XOXO!

Hanging out

I slept so well last night and my parents are happy about this! :-)

First bath

After another good walk and my introduction to the Oakland Farmer's Market, I can't say I enjoyed my first real bath but Grandma and Mom dressed me in cozy PJs afterward so I survived it. :-)

Sleeping with Daddy also warms me up in a hurry.

Grandma read me my first two books: Goodnight Moon (one of Mommy's favorites) and Guess How Much I Love You? That was fun!

Walk with Roc

My parents can't believe I'm already a week old -- and I've had many fun adventures already, like walking with Aunt Katie and Cousin Rocco and learning about shore birds from Grandma Connie. :-) I wore pink for the first time yesterday but also look darling in yellow and green.

The basket

I'm sleeping much better in the basket cousin Rocco handed down! :-)

First walk!

I went on my first walk yesterday and was so alert. Grandma Connie pointed out all the water birds and I learned about mallards. We walked for 40 minutes and mom even pushed me despite moving pretty slowly as she recovers from surgery. The nurse came by the house to check on me and I had gained weight - up to 5.6 pounds after getting down to 5.2, so I'm doing well! Big hugs for everybody!

Meeting cousin Rocco!

I finally got to meet my cousin, Rocco (and awesome aunt Katie)! He's the coolest and four months older than I am, though I have some catching up to do in size. We're going to have fun. :-)

Our little Emma

Emma Carol Dubow arrived a 7:39 p.m. on Jan. 29th, weighing in at 5 lb., 14.7 oz and she is 18.9 inches long. She has a great set of lungs and full head of dark Dubow hair. Needless to say, we're going to keep her!
