Cal women's basketball game with friends!

I planned this fun day for several months to get lots of friends together! Lily Marshall-Fricker in the wheelchair is a huge Bay Area sports fan who found me on Facebook and we are good friends. She is 18 and active on the San Francisco youth council. She came with her mom, Lori, and they sat ON the baseline!
Cal women's basketball had all these T-shirts left from summer camps ... what a treat!
EXCITED? Oh, yeah!

They got pom-poms, Pre-K pal Sody on the end in the striped skirt won a fleece blanket!
Snacking on gummy bears and cheering! Neighbor Denise got Evie fired up!
Happy Lily!
Go CAL!
No. 23, Brittany Shine, was thrilled to have so many kids in her number!
Evie went up to her "favorite player," Brittany Shine and said, "When I grow up I'm going to be a baller just like you!" Awesome day for young girls seeing great young women!
Emma and Lily got a high-five from head coach (Mommy knows her well!) Lindsay Gottlieb. Emma had an L on our Suzy Zoo calendar on Nov. 24 as the day she got to see Coach Lindsay! What an amazing day!

Mom's special angels

These are mom's special Hummel angels from Grandma. We looked at them but won't put them up yet. Holly, they went back in the box shortly after this moment.

From Dec. 9, 2013
A conversation with almost 5-year-old Emma:
Emma: "My favorite part of Christmas is the presents."
Mom: "There's much more to Christmas than presents."
Emma: "Socks? Clothes?"
Emma again: "The most important part of Christmas is giving thanks. Uh huh, I guessed it."

Happy Saturday!

New planter box

An elderly couple in Alameda were selling this beautiful teak planter box and I snatched it up off a parent swap Web site for $75 (It's very heavy and Josh and I barely were able to handle it, though it is on wheels). Might need some staining but I can't wait to see how my veggies do. The Swiss chard and mustard greens are hoping to rebound from a rough start in their new home.

Emma's press box

Emma just spent the last half-hour coloring, cutting and gluing her very own "press box" with my seat, computers on tables and even a couple of broken chairs. Pretty sweet!

Halloween 2013!

They are ready to go ... lots of smiles after pizza at Declan's house.
Emma, Kaela and Pre-K friend, Cate, who is doing dance with the girls this year.
Popsicle prep for trick-or-treating as Minnie Mouse minus the ears.
Tuckered out, Lily rides on Dad's shoulders.
Emma switched from Ariel to Sophia after her dress ripped at the preschool party. I had this spare!
Neat house of our friends, Alan and Cathy, who help us with big house projects.
Princesses Emma, Fiona and Kaela wait for Minnie Mouse to get her candy.
Sophia the First ... Emma!
Neat pumpkin and gourd structure
