I had so much fun with Grandma Connie this weekend while my mom and dad were covering NCAA basketball. Thanks, Grandma, for showing me the birds, taking me to the park, pointing at the airplanes and my shadow. Love you! ... I love my dress, Rachel and Holden -- thanks! :-)

Meeting Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali came to the Giants clubhouse today. He let the writers in for a quick group picture after the players, coaches, clubbies and even general manager and owner were through. Pretty neat.

Return to spring training

It's been two years since I was at spring training, so it's nice to be back in Arizona. Eric shot this picture as I soaked in the atmosphere at Scottsdale Stadium today from the Dodgers dugout. Headed out to the Papago Buttes for my favorite trail run after the game. Gorgeous.

Gardening girl

Emma sure enjoyed helping smash down the leaves and sticks in the green bin when we did yard work with the neighbors today on a beautiful spring-like afternoon. :-) She kept her yogurt snack close at hand after working up an appetite. She even had a couple chips and salsa with mom, too (like mother, like daughter!).

Future curler?

Emma sure is enjoying her little curling stone! :-)

We are going to have to invest in some sand toys soon! So far, other kids have been kind enough to share.

First haircut!

Emma did great at her first haircut today. She loved playing with all the combs and perm rods. Then dinner afterward with cousin Rocco was fun as always!

Back with Em

It was so nice to be reunited with Emma (and Josh!) and she actually whooped in delight when she saw me at the airport -- that makes a mom feel pretty special.
