Little painter

Emma tried eating the paint from the tip of the brush but didn't seem to enjoy it. After that, we got her a quesadilla with guacamole from the taco truck and that was a hit.

Discovery Museum

We headed off to the Discovery Museum in Sausalito after Emma's 15-month appt. this morning. We had a blast! She was a healthy 21 pounds, 6 ounces (25th percentile) and 30 inches tall. She now says "thank you" fairly regularly. :-)

Little explorer

Emma loves to explore and had a ball playing during a friend's BBQ on a gorgeous Sunday. The cracker stays in her hand the entire time. :-)

Cousins at play

Rocco and I had a blast today starting with swim lessons, some basketball, then lunch at a cafe that has a big play area for us kids. We were more interested in the balls and slide than eating our grilled cheese sandwich. (Katie is just beginning to show a tiny baby bump ... due the end of August w/surprise No. 2 ... she looks fabulous!).

Farm excursion

Emma and I had a fun adventure to a farm outside of Berkeley today. We saw cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, geese. She loved it!

Emma phrases

I figured I should start keeping track of Emma's words. Here's a rough go in favorite order (note a first-place tie between Emma and airplane and second-place tie w/mama and dada). This picture is right after she pointed at and chased an airplane, a regular thing these days.

1. Emma
1. airplane
2. mama
2. dada
3. ball
4. no
4. uh oh
5. bye bye
6. bird (thanks Grandma Connie!)
7. hi
8. agua (Spanish)
9. milk
10. bite
11. nother bite
12. nose
13. eye
14. mouth
15. Stella ... woof woof (dog at house for babysitting)
16. Lena (nanny)
17. yabba dabba duwoow (rhyming with her last name)
18. out
19. up
20. down
21. grandma (this one WILL move up much higher!)
22. choo choo
23. Evan (once or twice so far)
24. Joe (dad of playmate Declan)
25. belly
26. hat
27. shoe
28. bottle
29. hot
30. toe
31. beep beep
32. two
33. all done
34. nay (horse)

First swim lesson

I loved my first swim lesson today and even dunked under. Mom wasn't surprised since I've always loved being in the water whether swimming in a pool or for my bath.

Cousin Rocco is going to join my class soon! FUN!

(Before and after shots with getting ready in my new suit and then getting cozy in my sweats to hit the park and sandbox).
