Impromptu haircuts with Lynette

We dropped in on Lynette after school and camp and she had time and room for both girls. Hair washing fun for Lily! Ahh!
Happy girl in the boosted up chair.
Emma asked for a few inches off. Nice highlights from her swimming.
Gone are those unruly curls ... for a day at least.
 Looking so grown up.
We love Lynette, who grew up in Poulsbo and knows much about small WA towns.

Camp Galileo

Character day at Camp Galileo. (Thanks to Grandma Connie for the Minnie outfit she sewed and then made the shirt bigger). Emma is loving her first week of camp this summer. "A-mazing!" she said last night and then talked non-stop about her day before falling asleep at last about 10. This sign behind Emma reads "MAKERS" as that's the theme for this week for the art-science camp in which Emma will be making a cardboard step stool she can use in her room among other projects such as exploring the concept of friction and building hinges and reinforcing beams to make test grabbers to clasp and carry objects. I want to stay at camp! Emma wants to go next year for all four weeks.

Leavenworth adventures

Thanks for the pretty braids, Aunt Petra!

Loving Charlie's dog, D.J., and Sadie.

After Grandma left on a six-day hike with Mall, we knew she would prefer rain to the very hot weather we'd had. So it was special to see this double rainbow on our last night. What a great two-week vacation!

Special cousin time!

We were fortunate to beat the heat in the mister at Evan and Petra's with cousins!

And taking the golf cart nextdoor to their friends' house to swim.
Thanks, Auntie, for tossing me high!

Sadie got lots of love, too

Taking Sadie up the hill w/Grandma.
No dogs allowed in the neat new fort, built by Travis and Felton.
Lily regularly fed Sadie and asked if she could have "dessert."

 Sadie goes paddleboarding
 Sadie snuggles
The kids loved helping grandma take Sadie up the hill to go potty.

S'mores fun

Thanks to cousin Andrew for the s'mores each night. :)

So proud of my much-improved little swimmer, who loves the water and is now cliff jumping, diving down beyond the rock wall for golf balls, swimming across the cove and to the ladder without a life jacket and jumping off the diving board without a life jacket. Doubt I could do that at age 6.

Special Lake Chelan shots (thanks Petra!)
