On my way into beach volleyball this morning, I complimented the woman gardening at the little cottage in St. James Park and wound up with two beets. I'll now have to give away the beets and find some oil and vinegar to make a little salad with the greens! The British volunteers and ushers sure got a kick out of seeing me enter the arena with fresh produce. :-)
Mary, I wish I could send these your way for a nice roasting with lots of kosher salt, pepper and olive oil!
