New cousin!

Bo Alan Smith was born Thursday, Aug. 26th in NYC! 7 lb., 9 oz., and Rocco Man is loving be a big brother. We can't wait to meet Bo in November.

Delicious blackberry cobbler

I'm so glad Mom, Grandma Connie and Uncle Travis were willing to go blackberry picking and get 12 cups of berries for our dessert!

Skinny dipper

Emma went swimming three times (twice more than mommy).





It was wonderful to have the kids all together for a change. Travis and family are back after more than a year living in China.

Stripes galore

Yes, I am double-fisting both my yogurt and my yogurt and a hot dog (my babysitter, Lena, let me have a few bites of hot dog today but I don't do it very often. She's also the one who cut my bangs while mommy was gone in WA last week). Thanks for the pretty dress, Rachel and Holden! It's finally summertime here.

Hiking adventure

We had lots of fun hiking in the Oakland Hills today and there were SOOOO many juicy huckleberries thanks to our unseasonably cool summer. Mom only wishes she'd known beforehand and would have brought a pail. A big pocket on her stretchy black shorts did the trick to bring quite a few home anyway.

Great visit with Holly!

It was so wonderful to catch up with Holly the past two days! I'm glad she's on her way home to those cute little boys.
