It's a tough task to get Emma off the lily pads ... her favorite thing at the entire zoo I think! She threw a fit when it was time to leave them this time.
Lily wasn't sure what to make of getting to pose with Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson on the field before the Giants-A's game last weekend! :-) He is Daddy's favorite player and these photos will be framed for a late Father's Day gift. Always fun spending time with Auntie Kristy!
Lily did quite well in her first 5K at 6 weeks old. Finished in 27:52 (7th in the 30-39 women's age group, 51st overall out of 367 women). She got to meet some of mom's media colleagues, too. We miss dad and Emma and can't wait to see them Monday night.
Emma and second cousins Grace and Amalie get geared up for a fun wedding of Daddy's cousin, Ethan, in Vermont. Emma and Josh are having a great trip so far!
Declan's baby brother, Cormac (an Irish name pronounced Cor-MICK), arrived June 8 and we sure hope he and Lily are such great friends like their older siblings who play together with nanny, Lena.
Emma and Evie have a blast together! Emma is two days older and they are both very vocal, independent and say many of the same things. In the morning it was their last music class with homemade instruments in tow and at night an outdoor concert near the beach with yummy food (Dad made homemade hummus and mango salsa!) and some impromptu swimming! We hope their younger siblings will be great friends, too. Evie's brother, Enzi, was born April 22, just ahead of Lily on May 6.
Lily made her debut at the ballpark and received a sweet kiss on the head from Reds manager Dusty Baker and plenty of greetings from Giants manager Bruce Bochy and a bunch of the players. She was a tired girl afterward to say the least, especially after getting a shot at her 1-month appt. earlier (8 lb, 6 oz - about 25th percentile - and 21.5 inches for 63rd percentile). She's doing great!
