Bailando!

I don't typically socialize with players, but when Omar Vizquel invited me to attend his 40th birthday party in April, I couldn't miss it. We've developed a great relationship during his time on the Giants. When he grabbed me to dance, I was mortified and nervous, but I will look back on it fondly learning to salsa from an 11-time Gold Glove winning shortstop -- and, hopefully, one day a Hall of Famer! He took the cap right off my head, too. :-)

All-Star game in San Francisco

We survived the All-Star game craziness Tuesday night, but it was fun, too. It was neat to see Ichiro win the MVP!! :-)

An uplake cabin shot for those of you who haven't been there. Girls, maybe we'll have a Lake Chelan Meet the Babies one year when the kids are a bit older! :-)

Off to Chicago instead ...

Chicago should be fun and I get to see Dani and Owen again, too!! :-) It might not look quite like this fall day when I was last there. After a week in Cincinnati and St. Louis, I am prepared for any Midwest thunder and lightning storm that comes my way. These storms were a real treat ... so different from Washington. The closest thing I've experienced is one of those quick ones to come through Denver while visiting Mary.

I will miss not going to the lake next week to hang out with my mom and the girls. Maybe we'll make it in August!
