Summer adventures

Penny, Lily and Emma loved Camp Galileo this week and I would pick them up and go straight to swim lessons afterward. It was a jam-packed week with lots of fun had by all.
Emma had Dan as a counselor for the second straight year. She was so happy. He's great!

The girls just loved Terri.

Rock climbing at Declan's birthday party.

Milena was in the other first-grade class but the girls have become really good friends this summer!
Last day of school ... Ms. Lucy is leaving for another school but she and Emma have fun sending letters back and forth.
Lily would have loved having Ms. Lucy for kindergarten in the looping system but will be in good hands at Maya Lin!
Emma (and Fiona and Izzy) made the Alameda school district mailer!
Field day!
Elizabeth, Emma and Emily after their dance show. Not sure where Lulu had gone. :) They were awesome as always! Fun night.

"O-K-C! O-K-C!"

Lily had many of her preschool pals at Fuzzy Caterpillar cheering along with her for Oklahoma City (yes, the former Seattle SuperSonics - heart still broken!) on Thursday night and the Thunder obliged because now both her parents can be on hand and not working for Pre-K graduation next Friday night.

Zoo field trip and a note from Emma's teacher, Ms. Lucy: (I had good intentions of getting to the zoo but it was a work day after all with Stephen Curry named NBA MVP).
Hi Janie,
At the end of every day students can raise their hand and honor people. Today Emma raised her hand and said "I would like to honor Mommy for trying her best to make it to the zoo." It was very sweet. I told her that she should tell you that but just in case she doesn't I wanted to make sure you heard. I hope you had a great day! I'm sure Emma will tell you all about ours. Look for pictures in the newsletter tomorrow!
  Best, Lucy

Frozen yogurt date with mom after school. Thanks to Jan and John Saunders for the fun new T-shirts.

Reunion Sunday at the NBA playoffs...

It was 19 years ago when I was a Washington State junior and Oregonian intern and this amazing guy was my mentor for the summer of 1997 in Portland. Could not have had a better example or person to learn from. Thanks for everything you have done and still do, Ken Goe! So special to see you and sit together for the Blazers-Warriors press conferences.
