New U.S. team chef survives Aurora theater shooting two years ago

Here's an e-mail from the new U.S. World Cup chef after I told his story ... on his birthday, no less.

World Cup game day No. 1! Brazil vs. Croatia

 First run in Sao Paulo with colleague Julio and we found a great park. Wound up 3.6 miles.

 These guys are ready to represent, even if an entire country is rooting against them.

The Brazilian approached the Croat and said "good luck" then took a selfie.

 Lily has been asking for a lemon tree ... we got one, and Katie Boyd went w/us to the nursery!

Lily hated to see Katie go when we dropped her at the ferry to go see her cousin in San Francisco.

 "Fun day!" as Lily loves to say. We wish it could have been longer. A Montana trip soon!
